Information we handle

Things you choose to send us

If you write to us through the Contact Us page or by email, we receive your name, email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply and to correct content you report.

Things collected automatically

  • Technical data your browser shares with any website: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language and the page that referred you.
  • Pages viewed, time spent and clicks, gathered through cookies and similar tools described below.
  • Server logs kept by our hosting company for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, Aadhaar numbers, bank details, passwords, OTPs or exam login details.

How we use it

  • To run the site, keep it secure and stop spam or abuse.
  • To understand which job updates are useful so we can improve them.
  • To answer messages and fix errors that readers point out.
  • To show advertising that helps keep the site free of charge.
  • To meet legal duties, such as responding to a lawful order.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser. We use them for three purposes: essential site functions (for example, remembering a cookie choice), measurement (counting visits) and advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; the site still works without them, though some features or ad relevance may change.

Google AdSense and third-party advertising

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to display ads. Please note the following:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s earlier visits to this website or to other websites.
  • Google’s advertising cookies (including the cookie historically known as DoubleClick/DART) let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to 9curry.co.in and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
  • You can also opt out of personalised advertising cookies used by many third-party vendors at www.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) and, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Other ad networks or vendors approved through Google may also place cookies. Google lists them, with their own opt-out options, in its list of ad technology providers.

To learn how Google handles data when you use partner sites like ours, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising. Visitors from the EEA, UK or Switzerland will be shown a consent message before personalised ads are served; you can change that choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in our footer.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (installed through Google Site Kit) to see, in aggregate, how people find and use our pages (for example, which job categories are most read). It sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, which Google processes under its own policies. We do not use it to identify individual readers. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

When information is shared

  • Service providers that host, secure, cache or measure the site, only as needed to provide that service.
  • Advertising partners such as Google, as described above.
  • Authorities when Indian law requires it, or to protect the site, our readers or the public from fraud or harm.

Links to other websites

Our posts link to recruitment boards, commissions and official portals such as National Portal of India (india.gov.in), Staff Selection Commission (ssc.gov.in), UPSC (upsc.gov.in) and National Career Service (ncs.gov.in). Once you leave 9curry.co.in, that website’s own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how it treats your data.

Storage, security and retention

We keep messages only as long as needed to deal with them, and server logs for a limited period set by our host. We use HTTPS, updated software and restricted admin access, but no internet service is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to tell you what personal data of yours we hold, to correct or update it, to erase it where it is no longer needed, and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. You may also nominate another person to act for you. Write to buttrflystudio@gmail.com; we aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it accepts complaints.

Children’s information

This site is meant for job seekers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

In line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, our Grievance Officer is:
